About Ecominsights
Ecominsights is a self-serve Amazon market intelligence platform that shows independent Amazon sellers and small brands how much any product, brand or seller sold each month. It covers more than 5.2 million Amazon products, 300,000 brands and 310,000 sellers, plus search volume and CPC trends for over 520,000 keywords. The team behind Ecominsights started selling on Amazon in 2018, and the current platform launched in 2026. The monthly history is included on every plan, even the free one.
Free plan availableWhat Ecominsights does
Most Amazon research tools show you what a product, brand or keyword looks like today. Ecominsights shows you how it got there, with estimated sales, revenue and demand for each month, so you can see whether it's growing, holding steady or losing ground.
Product sales history
Look up any ASIN and see its estimated monthly unit sales, revenue and price, month by month. Use it to check that a product's demand is real before you launch a competing listing or place an inventory order.
Brand revenue
See estimated monthly revenue for any brand, added up across every product we track for it. It's the quickest way to size a competitor or a wholesale brand without adding its products one at a time.
Seller revenue
See estimated monthly revenue for the sellers behind the sales, and how many products each one carries. It shows which storefronts are growing and which are losing ground.
Keyword trends
See monthly search volume and CPC for over 520,000 keywords, and how both have trended. You can tell whether a keyword's demand is seasonal, rising or fading before you build a listing around it.
Category and subcategory views
Compare which products and brands lead a category or subcategory, and where revenue is moving. It helps you find niches where demand is growing.
All sales and revenue figures in Ecominsights are estimates, estimated from observed marketplace signals. They aren't Amazon's official numbers.

Who uses Ecominsights
Ecominsights is built first for independent Amazon sellers and small brand owners who do their own product and market research and need trend data without enterprise pricing. It serves:
- Private label sellers checking whether a niche is growing before they launch.
- Small brand owners tracking their monthly sales against the competitors in their category.
- Wholesale sellers vetting a brand before they open an account with it.
- Amazon agencies looking for brands worth pitching, such as brands whose sales have slipped for several months.
- Investors and buyers checking a brand's monthly sales trend during due diligence.
The team behind Ecominsights
Ecominsights is built by people who sold on Amazon themselves. In 2018 we were selling on Amazon ourselves, running a small third-party (3P) store, and built our own research process because the tools available were too expensive or too shallow for us. After we sold that business, we used the same process to help small private-label sellers with keyword research, listing optimization, and product research, still doing the analysis by hand in spreadsheets.
That process became Ecominsights. Each stage rests on the same idea: one month of numbers doesn't tell you much until you can compare it with the months before. You can follow the team on LinkedIn, X, Reddit and Medium.
- 2018
Selling on Amazon ourselves
We start selling on Amazon with a small third-party (3P) store and build our own research process along the way.
- June 2022
The first monthly reports
We publish our first monthly category reports on ecominsights.io, covering categories such as sunglasses, bed sheets, skin care, supplements and yoga mats. Each report listed keyword search volume, average price, estimated monthly sales and revenue, and a comparison with the same month a year earlier.
- October 2022
Done-for-you research
We launch ASIN Reports and Keyword Reports. A seller would name a competitor's product or a keyword, and we'd send back its estimated sales, revenue and search volume.
- 2024
A free library for sellers
We publish more than 950 guides in a single year, on topics from Amazon fees and FBA costs to selling an Amazon business. The library passes 1,000 articles.

How the data works
Ecominsights runs on a proprietary data platform. We track millions of Amazon products every month and estimate each one's sales and revenue from observed marketplace signals. Brand and seller figures are built up from the products behind them, and a new month is added as each one closes.
A few things to know before you rely on the numbers:
- Every sales and revenue figure is an estimate, not Amazon's reported data. It's best for comparing products, brands and months against each other, and it won't match a seller's own account figures exactly.
- Our history is measured in months, not years.
- Ecominsights is a research tool, not an operations suite. It doesn't manage PPC campaigns, automate review requests or run your listings.
Free research from Ecominsights
You don't need an account to see a lot of what Ecominsights tracks. We publish free research on ecominsights.io every month:
- Growth reports: the brands, sellers and subcategories that grew most from one month to the next, such as the household brands that grew most in July 2026.
- Top-grossing products by subcategory, ranked by estimated revenue.
- Brand revenue reports showing a brand's estimated monthly sales on Amazon.
- Tool comparisons that set Ecominsights side by side with other Amazon tools, such as Ecominsights vs Jungle Scout, including the jobs where another tool is the better pick.
- Guides for sellers on the Ecominsights blog, from fees and FBA costs to selling an Amazon business.
